These tasks can be completed when our body is functioning at its optimal state. The level at which we desire our bodies to operate is why preventative and wellness care is so important to us at Backed by Blackmon. Our Doctor of Chiropractic focuses on creating the proper plan that involves three components: chiropractic care, personalized vitamins/nutrients, and exercise prescription for each individual according to their health and wellness goals.

How Chiropractic Can Help

          Chiropractic care can be utilized to prevent disorders from arising in the nervous and musculoskeletal systems. This form of chiropractic care focusses on assessing the function of the body rather than what the body is feeling. Our body is capable of functioning incorrectly without giving us unwanted signs and symptoms. Preventative chiropractic care proactively works to rid the body of any dysfunction, allowing it to function at its optimal level and avoid unwanted signs and symptoms. At Backed by Blackmon, we offer many therapies that can be utilized to decrease the dysfunction in the body. We will treat with chiropractic adjustments, soft tissue therapy (cupping, dry needling, shockwave therapy), spinal decompression, low-level laser therapy, and/or physical rehabilitation. Of course, everyone’s treatment is different and specific to their needs.

Personalized Vitamins/Nutrients

          Personalized vitamins/nutrients is also a component that we can utilize to promote overall health and wellness in the body. We understand that when our cells are properly equipped to communicate efficiently, then that in return helps the body to function optimally. 

Exercise Prescription

          Our bodies were designed to move. Exercise promotes the proper function of the organ systems in our body. Our chiropractor is a Certified Exercise Physiologist and creates workout plans for individuals that may or may not have any pre-existing health conditions. This certification has given our chiropractor the extra training to prescribe exercise for people with common conditions like diabetes, autoimmune conditions, arthritis, and high blood pressure (just to name a few).
