Frequently Asked Questions

Does Backed by Blackmon offer health consultations?

Yes! We schedule a FREE phone consultation with Dr. B. Likely for all new patients. You can schedule a time to speak with her for 15 minutes to answer any of your questions to ensure that chiropractic care is right for you and/or your family member.

Does Backed by Blackmon accept insurance?

Yes! We are currently in network with BlueCross Blue Shield, UnitedHealthcare, and Medicare. You can call the office and share your insurance information with our front desk staff to allow us to verify your benefits before your first appointment. This will allow us to provide you with a proper estimation of payment that you and/or your family member would be responsible for.

What is Backed by Blackmon's new patient procedure?

Our new patient procedure includes a complimentary consultation. After your consultation (or if you elect to bypass it), then you will be scheduled for your new patient appointment which will consist of an examination, nervous system scan (if needed), review of findings, and treatment. You can click here for more details regarding our new patient procedure.

What if I need to cancel my appointment?

Please reschedule your appointment at least 24 hours before your scheduled appointment by either calling the office at 713-321-0506 or by sending an email to info@backedbyblackmon.com to avoid our $25 cancellation fee (established patients) or to be refunded your $25 deposit (new patients).

What if I do not want to be adjusted?

Our doctor is trained in many different modalities and treatment options. If you are not comfortable with a traditional adjustment, then she can use an adjusting tool to ease your mind but also work to remove any dysfunction that your body might be experiencing.

How much will my visits cost?

If you are utilizing insurance, then you can call our office with your insurance information. Our front staff will be able to look up your benefits and give you an estimate of what your first and follow up visits will cost.

If you are a self-pay patient, then you can visit our self-pay pricing page. Of course, if you have any specific questions regarding what treatment you think that you will need, then you can schedule a free consultation to discuss.
